Hi, I am Scarlet

I am the founder and clinical director for
CAGE Counseling Services, LLC.

As a wounded healer, I draw from both personal and learned experiences. I view therapy as a collaborative journey, where together, we can explore innovative strategies to nurture your holistic wellness.

I am committed to helping others without judgment grow through their struggles, heal from their pain, and move forward to where they want to be in life and I am dedicated to providing a safe place to promote courage, acceptance, grace, and empowerment.

I specialize in Complex Trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Chemical and Behavioral Addiction, Women Specific Issues, Depression, Anxiety, Dissociative Disorders, Mood and Personality Disorders. I primarily work with individuals aged 13 and up and I apply a theoretical framework that combines psychodynamic and cognitive perspectives, incorporating interventions from various therapeutic approaches such as Trauma-Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and talk therapy.

Hi, I am Andrea

I enjoy working with young adults, couples, individuals, and seniors who are seeking therapy for the first time, feel pressured into counseling, or have had therapy experiences in the past.

I have specific experience with the LGBTQIA+, the military community, and individuals who have serious psychiatric diagnoses. People tell me they immediately sense my authenticity and unbiased acceptance, also noting that they like my tattoos!

I graduated from Kansas State University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychological Studies, minoring in Women’s Studies and Nonviolent Studies. And after having graduated with my Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University in 2020, I’ve gone on to earn credentials as a Master Social Worker (LMSW).

I worked in a variety of settings including private practice, county victim-witness, and inpatient psychiatric hospital exposing me to a multitude of therapeutic mental health issues and diagnoses, as well as opportunities for training in best-practice evidence-based treatment interventions.

More recently, I currently work in the dual role of hospice social worker and bereavement counselor for a local hospice and palliative company. I have a special interest in working with individuals with mood disorders, anxiety, grief, or a history of trauma.

With 6 years of experience, I help clients develop healthier thought patterns and behaviors with cognitive-behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques.
